Well from the above YouTube clip, I think most people that will read this blog will know that's its from one of the greatest films 'Dirty Dancing.' Even if people have not seen the film, they will more than likely know the song straight away and associate it with the movie. Dirty Dancing is a romantic film which was made in America back in 1987.
The story is about a young girl called Frances ("Baby") who gets in a relationship with a dance teacher (Johnny) while on their summer vacation. Baby knows that her father would not approve of this so they keep it a secret. The show mainly involves a lot of dancing, and Baby ends up standing in for Johnny's dance partner as she falls seriously ill after an abortion. This is when her father realises who his daughter has been spending her vacation with and warns her to stay away from them. However, a lady who likes the Johnny sees Baby sneaking out of his room late at night. She was not happy with this so she informs management that Johnny was responsible for a theft that had happened the night before knowing that Baby would of course come forward and confess where they were to protect Johnny. Johnny ends up being fired but comes back at the end of the show where they do their final dance, which is the one in the YouTube video above. This is where Johnny says his famous line 'No one puts Baby in the corner' and drags her up to dance.
Back in 2004, Dirty Dancing 2 came out but to be quite honest it wasn't a patch on the first Dirty Dancing. The first Dirty Dancing is a girly romantic film but I must say I love it.It's one of my all time favourites. It's one of those films I love to watch when I'm sick in bed and would watch it over and over again.
