Hey There,

Just to tell everyone a little bit about myself, my name is Áine O' Byrne and I am a student in UCC. As part of my digital marketing class I must write a blog. I'm sitting here thinking to myself what am I going to write for my blog and finally it hits me that I love TV programmes and films and that this is what I should write about. I could talk for hours about what happened tonight on the X Factor , about 'i'm a Celebrity get me out of here' which started tonight, 'Desperate Houswives' and many more television series. I also enjoy going to the cinema, so what better to blog about than what I think of these shows and films.

Just the other night I went to see the film 'Let me in'. When going into the cinema I didn't quite know what to expect because we were in a rush so just bought the tickets for this film. Little did I know it was supposed to be a horror and that I am the biggest wimp ever. I get scared the second I hear that creepy music coming on in the background. Anyway I said I'd suck it up and watch it as the usher told me it was more of a thriller than a horror. The film was about a young boy who was being bullied at school who befriends a female vampire who moves in next door. I must say the film was slow starting and I was unsure where it was going. However it was very cleverly made and it was an excellent film. There was no jumpy bits thank god , just that creepy music which makes me quite scared because i know something scary is going to happen! Parts of the film were actually quite sad when the young boy is being bullied, but by meeting his new friend she helps him to become confident enough to confront the bullies.
